Scientists built a large particle collider to "re-create" the big bang by colliding tiny particles with incredible force, conservative Christian groups keep saying this will bring on Armageddon. Which, I thought, was their goal to reach so they can be with God.

well that and the fact that the hadron collider's designed to make miniature black holes, and people who don't understand basic astrophysics think that it would eat the planet if a black hole was made.
